As part of our series of Black History Month programming throughout October, Absolute Radio will delve into the most important hip hop songs of the 1980s and 1990s.

Dixon Brothers will host two specials on Absolute Radio 80s and Absolute 90s, each dedicated to a pivotal era in hip hop music history.

They’ll be in the mix and play the biggest and most important hip hop songs of the decade, from the biggest hymns to songs you might never have heard before.

Expect to hear tracks from Grandmaster Flash, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, De La Soul, Salt-N-Pepa, Wu-Tang Clan, Missy Elliott, Notorious BIG and more.

Along with the flagship music, the hour-long programs will explore the history and cultural impact of the hip hop genre, and Dixon Brothers will interview industry experts and tell the stories behind the songs.
