AfricanAncestry.com Deepens Connections on VH-1’s ‘Love & Hip Hop’ This Black History Month | VIDEO


*(New York, New York) VH1 announced today Love and hip-hop: from lineage to heritagea two-part special event celebrating black history and African descent, will premiere Monday, February 7, 2022 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. For the first time ever, cast members from powerhouse franchises love and hip hop and Black Ink Crew will meet with the host Dometi Pongo (MTV News) in this thought-provoking special that will examine the harmful effects of slavery and challenge stereotypes about black culture, while celebrating the rich history, music, crafts, style, dance and food of Africa.

From lineage to inheritance unite love and hip hopit is Remy Ma, Papoose, Yandy Smith-Harris, Rich Dollaz, Tokyo Vanity, Paris Phillips, Karlie Redd and Mom Dee with a DNA identity expert Dr. Gina Paige, co-founder of AfricanAncestry.com, like they pass the only DNA test designed to reveal their African ethnicity and country of origin. To further commemorate and celebrate this defining life experience, Black Ink Crew cast members VSEmanuel, Katrina ‘Kat Tat’ Jackson and Krystal Kill_lustrator will design tattoos inspired by the love and hip hop caste’s ancestral history, linking them forever to their lineage.
