ATLANTIC BEACH, NC (WITN) – The sounds of beach music will once again fill the air around Atlantic Beach in Carteret County on Saturday.
The annual Beach Music Festival will again take place at the Atlantic Beach Circle, with event organizer and recreation director Morgan Gilbert said the city is more than happy for the festival.
âWe love the Beach Music Festival because it’s a festival right on the beach, which is rare. Most of the time the festivals take place in the event center but we can party in the sand. It’s a free and ticketless event, totally free, âsaid Gilbert.
music starts at 11:00 am with the Band of Oz, other bands perform throughout the day including Jim Quick and the Coastline Band, The Embers and the Mighty Saints of Soul.
Food and beer trucks will be on hand at the event. Organizers say they strongly encourage anyone coming to the concert to park at Carteret Community College and take the free shuttle to the circle, as parking will be limited.
The festival is free and open to the public, tickets are not required. The shuttle will operate from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The festival is an event rain or shine, unless inclement weather threatens the area.
