Boardmasters unveils its lineup for 2023


AdministratorsCornwall’s surf and music festival, boasting one of the UK’s most picture-perfect locations, is back next year from August 9-13, 2023. Today, Boardmasters unveils the first wave of artists for 2023, including two huge headliners. Liam Gallagher and Florence + The Machine headlining for next summer, and are joined by over 30 other incredible artists announced today.

Boardmasters 2022 had a monumental sale, and now demand is at an all-time high with record numbers of tens of thousands of fans signing up for the festival presale.

The biggest names in music, the most exciting surfing talents, and not one, but two, the spectacular festival backdrops of Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach, Cornwall – Boardmasters 2023 are not to be missed.

C’mon You Know is Manchester’s finest and one of Brit-pop’s most famous and notorious singers. Liam Gallagher will travel to Cornwall next summer as the headliner of Saturday 2023. In a UK festival exclusive, Boardmasters are officially the only festival in the country to catch LG next summer. For what is set to be an electric headlining performance from the legendary frontman with unparalleled swagger, it will be a memorable debut at the Boardmasters festival.

Fam Boardmasters, you have love. sunday will see Florence + The Machine inevitably close Boardmasters 2023 with the release of the brand new album ‘Dance Fever’. Featuring Florence’s iconic, ethereal vocals and a catalog of truly timeless singles, including Dog Days Are Over, Say My Name and Shake It Out, Florence + The Machine will make Boardmasters fans’ long-awaited headlining dreams come true. .

Also announced today are more than 30 other world-class artists, including this year’s Mercury Prize winner and the best of British rap Little Simz as well as renowned electronic DJ Four Tet and acclaimed, topping the charts, filling the floor Example. Dylan one of the UK’s hottest pop talents right now will be at Boardmasters 2023, along with a massive rap-rock duo Bob Vylanpunk powerhouse that burst onto TikTok – Cassetterising punk rock band Kid Kapichi and metamorphosed electro-pop duo jockstrap.

Gwennofamous for her Cornish-language album will be at Boardmasters, as she adds to the lineup alongside a plethora of even more must-see artists, including Connie Constance who have just released their long-awaited album ‘Miss Power’, New Zealand’s most exciting reggae collective Katchafiremore vocal power Gretel Hanlynand Newquay-based punk-turned-Americana artist Wonder horse.

The DJ and electro lineup for Boardmasters is already heating up with the first drop of names revealed today, including the legendary tech DJ Ben Nickyand the best of electronic music DimensionCollective .DJ Kings of Roller skates joins the line-up, with London D&B DJ Kanineplus two of the biggest DJs collide as Paul Woolford goes b2b with Danny Howard. We Ain’t Done Yet – Make Me Feel Good hitmakers Belts only will also be heading to Boardmasters, as well as Charlie Tee, Goddard, Jaguarand Balling’s hitmaker, Vibe Chemistry.

Beyond the music, festival-goers can also sign up for Surf and Adventure Packages to make the most of their time by soaking up the best that Cornwall has to offer. Surf packages are suitable for all levels, with lessons available from Thursday to Sunday. Boardmasters works with established local surf schools and expert instructors including Fistral Beach Surf School, Escape Surf School, Westcountry Surf School, Blue Surf School and Newquay Activity Center to deliver these lessons and get participants into the water. Surfing packages are priced at £40 per person for 2 hours. Adventure packages are also available to book, including coasteering, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, boogie boarding, superSUP and snorkeling excursions, perfect for anyone who loves the great outdoors. Leading local activity providers Newquay Activity Center and Bare Feet Coasteer partner with Boardmasters to offer these packages. From £55 per person, activities last between 2 and 3 hours in total.

Plus, onsite, festival-goers will be spoiled for choice with wellness activities at Zennor Haven, delicious local produce at Cornish Market, shopping at the slow fashion village The Boulevard, take part in Beach Cleans with Surfers Against Sewage, tons of tasty street food, the UK’s largest silent disco, Boutique Camping, family fun and more.

OPEN Boardmasters is on. Steeped in heritage since 1981, festival-goers can travel to Fistral Beach in Newquay to see some of the most progressive and exciting names in international professional surfing crowned as the next Boardmasters champions, over five exhilarating days. Competitions include the Men’s and Women’s Boardmasters OPEN Division and the Men’s and Women’s Boardmasters Longboard OPEN Division. Additionally, festival-goers can also see the next generation of groms show off their skills in the boys and girls Boardmasters Junior OPEN division – more information will be released early next year.
