Dallas hip-hop artist Amore XO has a new album and a new mindset

After moving from Texas to the Bay Area and giving up on music altogether, Amore XO has returned with a more spiritual and focused perspective on their music career.

In 2019, the Dallas hip-hop entertainer had a backstage encounter with Lauryn Hill. Nothing came of their exchange immediately, but later it had a profound effect on Amore XO. He realized that his music lacked the kind of depth that would appeal to a “conscious” artist like Hill. To become legendary, he thought, he had to change his name and focus on making timeless records. He deleted every piece of music he had ever recorded.

COVID-19 has ruined Amore XO’s plans like everyone else. He delayed releasing any new music until October 2021 when he released a single called “Same Ol G Freestyle”. He followed that up with three more singles this year and a mixtape titled Southern Elegance Vol. 1which included all of Cleveland producer Tao Bey’s original beats.

Now, Amore XO is looking forward to their second project this year and their first studio album, titled Seen this a long time ago. The album’s list of features is small but packed with stars, like Dallas artist M3cca and BET Music Award winner Big KRIT, who released his first album since 2019 earlier this year.

“What Seen this a long time ago It’s about materializing my visions and ideas through audio and then with visuals,” says Amore XO. “You will be able to see it for real.

The rapper has one of the smoothest and most original flows in Southern hip-hop. His cadence comes to him effortlessly.

“I’m not trying to look unique, I’m just being myself,” he says. “It’s me betting on myself, believing in my talent and knowing it’s completely different from what’s out there. But not just using that word ‘different’ because everyone uses it, until ’til you play [my music] relative to something nearby.

Amore XO says Tao and Amaru Almighty, two producers he works with regularly, helped him build his sound. He doesn’t like rapping to beats that sound like traditional artist productions, and his two producers pride themselves on creating innovative instrumentals.

“I really want to take this shit to a higher level and represent Texas in a different way,” Amore said.

Southern Elegance Vol. 1
was a trending new release on popular indie music platforms Audiomack and DJ Booth. The mixtape can be streamed on all platforms and purchased directly from their website, just like Seen this a long time ago after its release next month. The rapper loves being able to connect directly with his fans and learn how to navigate the business as an independent artist as his music continues to spread across the world.

He owns an independent record label and record label called Lonestar World, an umbrella under which he releases his music and sells cute flying clothes.

Amore XO is still waiting for vocals and covers before officially announcing the album’s release date, and it’s busy these days organizing the accompanying music videos, a listening party and a clothes drop. as the season changes. He’s also working on the lineup for some shows scheduled to wrap up 2022. It’s been a hell of a year.
