Bask in the summer heat of Naarm as Sun Cycle returns to the velodrome this New Year’s Day for an unforgettable party: Sun Cycle 2023.
Co-presented by Crown Ruler, WAT Artists and Untitled Group, the full-day adventure features live artists and DJs whose musical styles lie at the heart and soul of the city.
Spread over three stages: Body Heat, Inner Orbit and Simmer Down, you will have the chance to witness an overlap between all the specters of dance music, converging in unison for a mutual love of all the gems of soul. , jazz, hip hop, electro and beyond. All the sounds defining our current landscape of electronic music and rethinking are future, ready to charge you right there in northern Naarm.
As in previous years, there will be bespoke set designs, unique culinary offerings from some of Melbourne’s best dining and cooking venues, and one-of-a-kind experiences and interactive art installations. Sun Cycle will provoke and uplift partygoers through all the senses, with installations from Melbourne’s brightest visual artists.
As the sunlight dims to trade places with the stars, trade your rosy cheeks for mesmerizing eyes as visual installations breathe new life into the music late into the night, provided by our city’s top VJs. Gape to the stage as the tango projects with celestial movements in the sky, and the change in tone of the music humbly moves towards hyperkinetic.
Opening 2023 with an all-day celebration hosted by some of music’s most forward-thinking personalities, celebrating local favorites as well as the return of some special international friends.
