Get ready for another debate centered on the “Top” list courtesy of Lloyd Banks. When it comes to lyrical prowess, Banks is no stranger to writing witty rhymes that leave his fans in awe. The accomplished New York rapper promotes his latest album The Course of the Inevitable 2 which was released just a few weeks ago, and he recently sat down with the Jalen & Jacoby podcast for a broad but sports-focused interview.

While chatting with Jalen Rose and David Jacoby, Banks was asked to name his top 5 artists “when it comes to punchlines in rap history.”

Hip-hop history is filled with great artists who can take any of these Top 5 spots, and Banks wasn’t shy about giving his answers. Many of his picks will come as no surprise to any Hip Hop Head.

“I would say Big L,” Banks said of the late, respected rapper known for his lyrical abilities. “So, Lord Finesse. I would say Jadakiss. I would say Fabolous. And I should take last place.”

Viewers didn’t miss that Banks’ picks were all New York rappers, and some Hip Hop fans appreciated that the former G-Unit star didn’t pick artists who are regularly added to lists like these.
