Movement Electronic Music Festivala longtime gathering in Detroit, announced part of its 2022 schedule with a “teaser lineup.”
Taking place from May 28-30, the event will feature artists such as Adam Beyer, The Holy Madonnaand Louie Vega. The festival will take place at Hart Plazaa Detroit venue that has hosted the event since its inception.
Tickets start at $229 for GA and VIP tickets are sold out. As of this writing, there is no clear COVID-19[female[feminine guidelines in place. Organizers write that they will “work with local authorities to implement necessary safety precautions and follow state and local health guidelines in place at the time of the event.”
The history of the movement dates back to 2000 when the inaugural event was called Detroit Electronic Music Festival (DEMF). DEMF was held annually at Hart Plaza until financial problems forced it to shut down in 2006. At that time, the local production company Paxahau obtained the date and location for Labor Day weekend from the original organizers and changed the name of the festival to “Movement”. Since then, it has operated successfully for more than ten years.
