With an upcoming documentary, fans of the late Avicii will witness what may be the last vestiges of his rich career.

According to a press release shared with EDM.com, a new documentary chronicling Avicii’s journey from unsung beatmaker to legendary dance music artist, is slated for release in 2023. Directed by Henrik Burman and produced by Swedish cinematographer Björn Tjärnberg and Candamo Film, the documentary ” close up, intimate ”will never present – unpublished archive footage and interviews with Avicii himself.

A new documentary exploring Avicii’s career is slated for release in 2023.

“My goal is to provide an honest and fresh perspective on the lives of artist Avicii and Tim,” said Burman. “I want this to be a film that surprises audiences and challenges the public image of today’s greatest Swedish international artist and in doing so also shines a light on what his music has meant to so many. people.”

2017 Avicii: True Stories, a documentary by Swedish filmmaker Levan Tsikurishvili, explored the struggling musician’s deep mental health issues. His psychological decline is largely due to a grueling and at times debilitating touring schedule, which is said to contain up to 250 shows per year. One of the most prolific electronic music producers of all time, Avicii was tragically found dead in Oman in April 2018.

A concrete release date for the next film, which is currently in production, has yet to be announced.
