Following the successful release of his 16th studio album, “Remember Who You Are,” – with two of his music videos reaching # 1 on Villa Koola Radio’s Dallas Vibez video countdown – hip hop artist “Best of Black Dallas “from 2020 is already back in the studio, working not on one, but on his next two albums.
“My 17th album right now is a bit of a ‘top secret’ project I’m working on that will somewhat mimic my debut album, which I produced, recorded and released without any functionality or outside producer,” says Original Soul. “But, with any project that I publish, I intend to preserve the hip hop genre for what it is, and that is to be informative about the issues that arise in our world and with it. other hip hop artists. “
In addition to writing and producing music for himself, Original Soul has worked alongside other artists in and out of his label, M4g Entertainment. While her 17th album will be more of a solo project, her 18th album will be more collaborative – featuring the work of other artists. The album will be released to the public for free on the occasion of his 30th anniversary as a recording artist.
Not only has Original Soul started recording again, but it also recently relaunched its popular radio station, M4g Radio, to coincide with Dallas Weekly’s Black Music Month. He says he plans to add at least one new song from a local or national artist every day. We thank Original Soul for being an inspiration, mentor and advocate for budding artists in the Dallas area and beyond.
