Paladins Releases Monstercat Crossover Update With Artist-Inspired Skins, Music, and Voiceovers – EDM.com

Paladins and Monstercat take electronic music and video game crossovers to the next level.

Paladinsthe popular free-to-play first-person shooter, has just released a new Monstercat-powered update that brings the spirit of the record label to the action of the game. The new update centers around a ” crossover pass” that players can purchase using in-game currency.

For those unfamiliar with the game, a cross pass works similar to what other games may call a “battle pass”. This means those who purchase the crossover will have exclusive unlockable in-game rewards that aren’t available to players without the pass.

The developers have shared some highlights of what to expect from the new update. While some games have featured in-game portraits of musical artists, Paladins took things a step further and added character voiceovers from Monstercat mainstays GG Magree and Justin OH.

Magree’s likeness and voice inspired Skye’s character, while OH transformed Khan. Also included in the mix are WHIPPED CREAM and Bossfight, which faced the characters Cassie and Koga respectively. The content from the previous two artists is unique in that it is included with Amazon Prime Gaming, which exists outside of the crossover pass.

Along with character upgrades, players will be able to unlock various rewards such as avatars, sprays, frames, and more. with the likeness of the Monstercat logo as well as the aforementioned artists.

Paladins‘ The Monstercat update is now available for all players. You can read the full patch notes and see every piece of unlockable content here.
