Jessie Ware – Say you love me

While 2020 saw Jessie Ware claim her best position on the album charts so far, Ed Sheeran helped her win her biggest singles charts six years ago, and even helped backing vocals. Jessie teamed up with Ed and Benny Blanco (more on him later) for Say You Love Me, which, after a strong radio spin, resulted in Jessie’s second Top 40 and highest single to date on the official classification. Say You Love Me is certified gold and the most popular song of Jessie’s career, with 41.4 million streams.

One Direction – Little Things
Released: 2012
Graphics sales: 1.05 million

Ed Sheeran’s first Top 10 single for another act was a big deal – Little Things was just the second track Ed wrote not recorded by him, and took to No.1 on the official chart by One Direction. The high-profile writing has done a lot for Ed’s (and 1D’s) career and has resulted in 542,000 downloads and 59.3 million streams to date.

Benny Blanco ft. Halsey & Khalid – Eastside

Producer for Katy Perry, Maroon 5 and Rihanna, Benny Blanco launched his career as an artist in 2018 and he couldn’t have started better. Reuniting with Ed on writing tasks while writing Halsey and Khalid on vocals, Benny’s debut single, Eastside, went to number 1 on the UK’s official singles chart and has the most stream for a co-write. Ed Sheeran which Ed himself did not sing. In total, British audiences broadcast Eastside a gargantuan 247.2 million times.

Justin Bieber – Love Yourself

By far the most downloaded song that Ed Sheeran gifted to another artist, Justin Bieber’s Love Yourself is the number 1 song on our chart with 2.77 million combined sales spread across 217.4 million streams and 735,000. downloads.

Ed helped Justin make history with Love Yourself in January 2016, which when topping the charts led to all of the Justin Top 3s, the first time an artist had simultaneously held No. 1, 2 and 3. Inspired by his own hands-on work for someone else, Ed broke this record in March 2017, claiming every spot in the Top 6!
