Aotearoa Rock’n’Roll Icons The Narcs charged harder than ever into 2022. The trio of Andy Dickson (guitar / vocals), bassist Tony Waine and drummer Josh Sorenson released their fifth studio album Suburbs in June and have now announced their second tour of this year, which will take place across the country in November. Celebrating 41 years together as a band (that’s a year older than even Canterbury legends The Bats), The Narcs ruled the New Zealand singles charts in the 80s with such massive anthems that went viral. echoed through the ages as ‘heart and soul‘ and ‘Diamonds and China‘. Sharing the stage with Icehouse at Tāmaki’s Aotea Center just before the global pandemic ruined everyone’s concert plans, The Narcs recently gifted fans with a historically crucial, freshly remastered archive of their video releases on YouTube and launched a crystal new release of ‘Heart and Soul’ in 2020 (featured on the new disc). Promising early classic hits (including “Over My Head”, “No Turning Back”, “Stay Away” and “Look The Other Way”) as well as songs from their latest album, learn even more about their story at AudioCulture and don’t miss the Narcs partying this spring…
“The shows we played in June this year had been rescheduled three times since the beginning of 2021, so it was a relief to finally play them. The audience was amazing and the atmosphere was so good that we can’t wait to continue the party by bringing The Narcs kick ass 3-piece back this spring!” — vocalist/guitarist Andy Dickson
