‘You deserve it!’ Boity Thulo beams, wins a notable SA Hip Hop award


Boity Thulo has just been named best female artist at the South African Hip Hop Awards 2021. A remarkable prize which testifies to the waves this boss is making.

After facing a lot of backlash when announcing his entry into the music business, Boity has come a long way and has proven his worth… time and time again!

Established in 2012, the annual awards platform spotlights and celebrates outstanding South African hip hop artists. The 2021 awards ceremony took place on Friday, December 10, 2021.


Being nominated for the award for best female artist was a dream come true for Boity, not to mention leaving with the whole crown!

On her Instagram page, Boity shared a photo of herself… announcing this year’s winner of the # SAHHA2021 award for best female artist. Yuuuuus, tell them, girls!

Boity feels extremely honored to have won this title and thanked all of her staff for making it possible. She’s nothing without her fans, and her sister knows it.

Boity has progressed since entering the scene… to the surprise of some. She won Best Collaboration on her song Wuz Dat in 2018 and in 2020 she won the best Remix on Utatako.
